Our Wedding

Thomas and Elizabeth’s story began back in 2018 at the University of Tennessee, where mutual friends set them up to go to a date party together (pictured above). That one night quickly turned into many more, from formals and football games to late-night food runs. They shared countless memories throughout college, even though they were one year apart in graduating. It wasn’t until after Elizabeth’s graduation that they officially started dating in June 2019. They both moved back to Nashville near where both of their families live. Over the next six years, their relationship continued to grow, filled with laughter, countless traveling adventures, and unwavering support. On June 5, 2025, Thomas proposed in a quiet, intimate moment on their apartment balcony, and Elizabeth said yes! Now, they can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of their favorite people in one of their favorite places: Sandestin, Florida. This is a spot that has been close to their hearts for years. It is by far one of their favorite travel destinations. They are so excited to say “I do” surrounded by the friends and family who mean the most to them.

Our Story

Room Block Accommodation Options 

We have two options for discounted group room blocks – The Grand Sandestin Complex and Hotel Effie. Both are conveniently located within walking distance of all wedding festivities, making it easy to enjoy the entire weekend without needing to drive. Our room block is available from Tuesday, May 5th, 2026, through Monday, May 11th, 2026, at both The Grand Sandestin and Hotel Effie. You can book your stay at any time within these dates using our group code. Please see the details for each option below. There are also plenty of other accommodations around Sandestin, so feel free to stay wherever works best for you!

If you’re looking for a condo-style stay, The Grand Sandestin Complex is a wonderful option! The property offers a variety of accommodations at our group rate, including studio (one- or two-bed), two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units. Please email our room block coordinator at TiftonWashington@sandestin.com for any booking issues at Sandestin. How to Book: 1. Visit Sandestin.com 2. On your phone, tap “Book” in the top right corner. On your computer, click “Check Availability” in the top right corner. 3. Do not apply any “filters”, or the discount code may not work correctly. The code will automatically bring up rooms that are in the correct location at Sandestin. 4. Choose your preferred dates. 5. Under “Add Special Code,” enter our group code: 2552U1. (Note that this code primarily gives a discount on the fees at the end of the booking) You’ll then see all available rooms within The Grand Complex.Please note: while Sandestin has several complexes on property, our group rate applies only to The Grand Complex and the Village. If you’d like to add a golf cart to your stay, use the filter option while choosing a room, and select “Golf Cart Available.”After booking, reach out to our room block coordinator, Tifton Washington, at TiftonWashington@sandestin.com to finalize golf cart arrangements. Golf carts will cost an additional $100/day.

The Grand Complex - Sandestin Beach Resort

If you prefer a hotel experience, Hotel Effie—a beautiful Autograph Collection Marriott property—is another wonderful option. It’s located right on the Sandestin property, just steps away from all of our wedding festivities. Please note that king rooms are not available until Friday, May 8th, but two-queen rooms are available throughout the entire room block. You can book directly through our group link below:

This is our first stop every time we arrive in Sandestin for crab legs, home of the steamed seafood bucket! Marina Bar & Grill boasts prime seating options that provide captivating views of the Choctawhatchee Bay serving daily lunch and dinner as well as breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. This is right next to our welcome party location at the Marina Beach!
